I really enjoyed this Marian! 😄 Great title as well. The two rules are a fabulous idea. This piece made me nostalgic for more trips to NYC. Thank you for sharing your travel experiences!

Thanks for reading Stephanie! New York is and was always a good idea, except perhaps in 2020!

I used to travel solo a lot when I was younger, your newsletter triggered lots of happy memories of how free I felt back then xx

Thank you Jenny! I Travelling solo can open you to experiences you would not have with others. My second visit to Manhattan was made alone though I met friends there. It's great to have time when not playing any of the other roles in life. xx

I love this Marian! And I’m going to adopt both these rules - such a great idea. I am presuming you travelled alone? Here’s to many shuffles-great name, great concept. I much prefer shuffles to sudden pivots.

Go for it Sandra! Thank you! The rules were intended to give me time to myself. I met up with friends but travelled alone. For a couple of weeks I was just me which was great. When we spend all our time being someone’s employee, wife, mum etc we can forget who we are.
