I have only seen one eclipse. I watched it with Donny Osmond. NO KIDDING.

I was working at Pinewood Studios and one of the lighting guys set up an ENORMOUS filter with some kind of professional stuff that it was OK to look through. Donny was there filming something and a bunch of us sat on a sort of hill and watched it. As I was a Donny superfan in my pre-teen years I admit I remember more about how I felt STARSTRUCK rather than the eclipse. Donny naturally was super nice!

Well, reading your words has inspired me. Who knows? I might finally make my first trip down under for this experience.

I love the sense of peace for the past and the anticipation being so uneven for the future. How do we explore events that could give us such a sense of ourselves as smaller creatures when we are forever trying to be lead actor in our own digital biopic?

Oops, I commented here much earlier and never pressed send.

Yes! Some moments are too big to capture on a small screen especially when doing live crosses between yourself and the sky.

LOVED this, Marian. You perfectly captured the experience of TOTALITY! And gave us lots of extras. I loved reading about your journey. Here's to 2028!

Beautiful! I was very close to the path of totality and now regret not traveling for it, but hopefully I'll get another chance :)

Susannah, there will be another for you, someday, somewhere There's been so many times when I've not considered .or ruled out, going to see something and only understanding later. And that's OK.
